A short introduction........

Arjan was born on the 6th of April in 1979. After attending a military airshow he was absolutely convinced that he wanted to become a military pilot with the Royal Dutch Navy. After completion of pre-university education and a bachelor degree in Aircraft engineering he applied for and was accepted in the military flight training. Two years and more then 100 flying hours later it became clear that this was not Gods purpose for his life: the military flight training was too demanding and Arjan failed in the course. A job as pilot in in civil aviation was not within Arjans reach due too the high course fees. Eventually Arjan worked as a professional in IT datamanagement for Shell Refinery Pernis where he was employed until Februari 2007, our migration to Australia.

Caroline was born on 13th of Februari 1982. After completing secondary education and an undergraduate diploma in Banking and Insurances Caroline worked for 5 years as a insurance correspondent with ZLM Verzekeringen. Her desire however, was to help children in third-world countries to provide them with a better future. Until recently she didn't know how to apply this desire in her daily life.

In 1998 we started dating and in 2002 we got married. Shortly after marriage we both felt the desire to serve God, but at that time we were unsure how. During a period of orientation we came across Mission Aviation Fellowship and eventually we decided we wanted to work with them. On the 28 of November 2007 our son Joshua was born in Mitcham, Australia. It is great to have an "Ozzy" in the family and we enjoy every moment with him.
